Verification standards for partners

Homeply is new, and we'd rather be unusually clear about what we check than pretend to a history we haven't earned yet. Verification is the product: homeowners choose Homeply because every partner passed these checks before receiving a single enquiry. Here's exactly what that means for your trade.

The process

1

Apply

Tell us who you are, which services you offer and the postcodes you cover. Five minutes, no payment details.

2

Upload your evidence

Registration numbers, memberships and insurance schedules for your service - the exact list is below, so you can have it ready.

3

We check, at source

We confirm registrations and memberships with the issuing body or register, not from the certificate alone, and record insurance expiry dates. Most checks complete within a few working days.

4

Live, and re-checked

Your profile shows what was verified. We re-check evidence at its expiry date and at least annually, and pause delivery of new enquiries if evidence lapses until it's renewed.

The standard for your service

Different trades carry different registers and insurance, so the badge is earned differently in each. Pick your service to see the checks and the evidence to have ready.

What we check

RICS firm or member standing.

Checked against: RICS register

Insurance required: Required by RICS rules - no schedule collected

Evidence to have ready

  • Company registration or sole-trader identity
  • RICS firm reference or member number

The rules that keep it honest

Re-checks: evidence is re-checked when it expires and at least annually - insurance renewals especially - and immediately when a complaint gives us reason to look again.

Lapses: if evidence expires, delivery of new enquiries pauses until it's renewed. Your account, balance and history are unaffected - it's a pause, not a punishment.

Suspension and removal: sustained complaints, misuse of homeowner data or abusive conduct lead to suspension; false or misleading evidence ends the relationship permanently. The full rules are in our partner terms.

Titles mean what they say: where a title is protected - architect being the clear example - we verify the registration behind it, and profiles describe unregistered professionals accurately instead.

No paid placement: matching is by service, postcode coverage and availability only. Nobody can pay to appear first. Matching rules are on Homeply Verified.
