Homeply is registered in England and Wales (company no. 14448440). We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@homeply.co.uk.

When you request quotes: your name, email address, phone number, postcode and the details of the work you describe. This is the information needed to introduce you to relevant professionals.

If you create an account: your login details and your enquiry history.

If you join as a partner: your business details, registrations, qualifications, accreditations and insurance evidence, which we use to verify your business, plus your account, billing and lead activity.

If you use Homeply AI (the assistant on our homepage): the questions you type and the answers given, stored to improve the service and our guidance content. These are not linked to your name, contact details or IP address, so please don't type personal information into the assistant - the quote form is the right place for that.

Automatically: basic technical information needed to run the site securely (such as IP address and browser type, in server logs). Analytics and advertising cookies are only used if you say yes in the cookie banner - see Cookies below.

To deliver your enquiry to matched professionals so they can contact you with quotes - this is the service you asked for (legal basis: performance of a contract).

To verify professionals before they receive enquiries, and to operate reviews, disputes and support (legal basis: legitimate interests in running a trustworthy marketplace).

To send service messages about your enquiry or account. We do not send marketing without your separate consent, and submitting an enquiry is never treated as consent to unrelated marketing.

To meet legal obligations, including accounting and responding to lawful requests.

Matched professionals: when you submit an enquiry we share your details with verified professionals who cover your area and service - no more than the maximum you chose when submitting (up to six). The matches are shown to you at the time, and each professional may only use your details to respond to that enquiry. They must not add you to marketing lists.

Service providers: the companies that host our website, database and email, acting under contract on our instructions. Your data is stored in the UK/EU.

We never sell your personal information to anyone else, and we do not share it with any other third parties except as required by law.

Enquiry data is kept for 24 months from your last activity, then deleted or anonymised. Account data is kept until you delete your account. Billing and accounting records are kept for 6 years as required by law. Verification evidence is kept while a partner is active and for a reasonable period after.

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, or have it deleted - from your account page or by emailing hello@homeply.co.uk. If you ask us to delete enquiry data, we also notify each professional who received it so they can delete their copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) at any time, although we'd welcome the chance to resolve any concern first.
